Ares is the Olympian god of war, first appearing in a minor role in the Mt. Olympus campaign in Kingdom Hearts Unlimited - The Journey before having a more prominent role as the main antagonist of the No Man's Land campaign in Kingdom Hearts Unlimited - Return of the Keyblade. Though the patron of Jasmine in her role as Sailor Mars, Ares was ostracized from Olympian society due to his role as the god of savage warfare. During World War I, Hades and Circe used his feelings of resentment to bring out a more malevolent aspect of Ares to use against the Amazons of Themyscira. Disguising himself as the British Supreme War Council's Sir Patrick Morgan with Pain & Panic's help, Ares manipulated the Entente Powers and Central Powers as they waged war on one another, intending to bring about a global holocaust for his masters to take advantage of, until Taran, Wonder Woman, and Hercules managed to defeat him and allow him to shake off Hades' influence.
