Ayesha is the Golden High Priestess, or leader, of the alien Sovereign race, a highly advanced people which have genetically engineered themselves to be "perfect" in every way and thus look down on all other lifeforms as beneath them. First appearing in person in Kingdom Hearts: Encoded Truths, though she was indirectly responsible for the creation of Adam Warlock in An Empire of Dreams, she hired the Guardians of the Galaxy to protect their homeworld from a Darkheart attack. However, when Guardian Rocket Raccoon stole valuable Anulax batteries from them afterwards, Ayesha vowed revenge on the Guardians for the slight and sent the Sovereign fleet to pursue them.
