The Digital World
The Digital World, also known as the Datascape, is an alternate dimensional region of cyberspace featured in the Kingdom Hearts Unlimited Saga. It is the primary hub world/galaxy traversed throughout the events of "Encoded Truths". Inhabited mostly by Programs, Digital Mutates, and other digital lifeforms, the Digital World lies parallel to the Real World, separated by an invisible barrier that can only be crossed through digitizers or other artificial/mystical means. Kevin Flynn and Alan Bradley were hired to build a digitizer in order for the heroes to enter the Digital World and solve the mystery behind Guinevere's last message just recently written in Jiminy Cricket's Journal.
Due to the ever-changing nature of the Datascape, several worlds from the Real World have become connected to the Digital World by way of spontaneously-appearing portals. These worlds, during the time of the Lands of Legend, were linked in some way or another to the worlds originally visited by Taran during the events of "The Journey", and the record of these exploits being compiled into Jiminy's journal. Therefore, traversing through these new worlds count as a way to spiritually revisit their counterparts without having to do the exact same stories over and over again.
Usually, the Digital World consists of five islands: Server Continent, File Island, Folder Continent, WWW Continent, and Forest of the Gods.
